Fluid Dynamics Simulation (CFD)

The visualization of computations from fluid mechanics is one of the main domains of COVISE. Fluid mechanics simulations from the most different ranges can be visualized:

- Aerodynamic simulation

- Driving comfort
(climate control, flow in the vehicle interior, air inlet strainer, ... )

- Burn procedures in engines

- Air conditioning in buildings

- Hydraulic procedures in the toolbuilding

- Gas dispersion

Visualization in the Micro System Technics

In the field of micro system technics a number of applications for the analyzation optimization of microstructures were created. The following applications were realized with COVISE:

- Micro fluidics
- Sensors
- Chip development

EMV (Electromagnetism)

Since electromagnetic fields correspond basically with the vector fields of fluid mechanics, they can be visualized relatively quickly.

- Visualization of the Z-machine of the Sandia National Laboratories (Part of a potential nuclear fusion reactor)

- Visualization of the field strength of a transmitter (e.g. mobile-antenna)
